I  paint animals, people and still lives of flowers, vegetables and well loved objects set within the landscape.   I have undertaken a wide range of commissions from small graphic work, Portraits of animals, people and houses to large scale paintings of Flora and Fauna.

Early Life.

My Father Peter encouraged me to paint.
He wrote a book called The Amateur, a companion guide to watercolour, in which he describes his early steps in painting while serving as a member of parliament.  The book, Peter Thorneycroft by Stanley Crooks
is available from Southampton University
where my Father's papers are housed.

My mother Carla Malagola, who was half Italian and a founder member of the
Venice in Peril Fund, also influenced me with her love of art and our many
trips to Italy.

I graduated from the Byam Shaw School for drawing and Painting followed by Whitelands College in 1974, and then  taught at
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart
Primary School Holloway. I continued painting alongside teaching and marriage to
Richard Nathanson
while bringing up a young family.
Over the years I learnt so much from him during the many exhibitions he curated.
